Tyranid warriors are troops now and because they can have Power-Weapons (boneswords) it is possible to equip even all our troop choices with models who have power weapons. I was thinking, did anyone tried this before? if anyone did, was it effective?
I think it works best with barely upgraded monstrous-creatures, such as the screamer-killer. I also think some zoans will help with the heavy shooting.
waiting for reaction........

Effective? Yes, but that would be a bit misleading.
You'd be effectived in that anything you can wound will die and you'd have a nice hard-counter to those chunky power armour (and to a lesser degree terminator armour) saves.
The downsides however would be enormous - your force would be very, very small, lack any long range firepower of note and even with zoanthropes be at the mercy of legging it across the table into gunfire.
Boneswords on warriors/whatever have their place, just don't spam them across the list.
What The_Outsider said. Your list wouldn't be balanced and could be easily picked apart. You have to cover all of your bases with your army, not just take a whole bunch of your favorite unit because they are awesome.
Every unit in the 'nid codex is awesome. But they won't function that awesomely in a vacuum. Every unit -- Warriors included -- requires considerable support and redundancy from the rest of the army list. You must be able to bust tanks, kill or repeatedly stall deathstar units, kill significant numbers of hordes, etc.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

An easy way to pull this off u can run 2 squads of them both of 5 members with bone swords and scything talons HQs throw 1 tyranid prime and a hive tyrant with wings and hive comander deep strike one squad of warriors the one without prime and the other outflank with outflank u can still assault if ur close enough to them run a death leaper so u dont scatter when u deep or u can run 2 primes and a trygon prime and have them come out of his hole i would run some gaunts in there just to piss people off and swarm they can chose gaunt or warriors theyll pick warriors because they think gaunts suck but give them toxin and glands there one bad ass A(3) I(5) wounding on a 4+ no matter what on the charge gaunt and with a squad of 10 gaunts thats 30 dice rolls half 15 and lets say u make 7 of those thats still 7 saves they have to take on guard that sucks and SM im sure theyll lose one or 2 hope it helped
I am right you are wrong get over it and move on!
