While my initial reaction to the new Killa Kans was dismay due to the fact that I had a single old Kan and the new kans are only sold in sets of 3, I have since come to a compromise so I can use the awesome new models. I will run 2 squads of 2 kans. (Im not using the heavy support slots for alot else. Just a looted Wagon, since I use the BW as a dedicated for my Nobs or Megaz)
Now, I already have a rokkit launcha kan. Using that, my plan was to have a AT squad, and a Light Vehicle killer/ Inf killer squad. I am thinking it would look like this:
Rokkit Launcha / Kustom Mega Blasta
Which one should I take for the second? The KMB has the slightly better AP, but is that worth the 5 pts? This is my main reason for making this thread.

Again, should I take both Zookas? Four Str... what, 6, blast shots seems pretty decent at mowing down light infantry and inflicting a good amount of hits on any others. Plus at least 1-2 of those are bound to either hit on target or not scatter the hole off the light vehicle, right? The BS would be a little more consistant, but offer less rewards for less risks... and is cheaper.
What do you, LO, think? What Kan Konfigurations do you run?
I'm a big fan of rokkits on Kans. The BS3 is a luxury and it makes the Kan a threat to everything...even when it is too far away to get into an assault.
Just having that ONE SHOT from a rokkit has paid off so many times for me....
Grotzookas are flexibility, Rokkits for AT.
So I'll take those responses as "The Kustom Mega Blaster isn't worth it"? I was hoping it was AP 1 but I looked it up and it's AP 2... so it would only be helpful against Termies and such...
Well I think everything is 'worth it'...it's how you play what you have that makes it successful.
I prefer rokkits simply because it turns my Kans into genuine threats against everything....and I like that. Especially at range. When you need that ONE SHOT to pop a Rhino or kill a lone IC then it's worth having.
I found the best way is 1 grotzukka and 2 Rokkit Launchas.

If KMBs had AP1, I'd be all over them. But, as is, I prefer rokkits for the lower cost. AP2 is handy, but with cover so prevalent I don't see much point to it.
Eh...I'm not impressed with the grotzooka's range. 18in is kind of short range. I prefer the rokkits/kmbs.
I used to say 'always kmb', but now that Tyranid Monstrous creatures are generally 3+ save only, a rokkit will probably do, if you need the points for something else. It's up to you.
