    Warbuggies? Any good???

Hey guys. I'm bidding on a war-buggy on eBay... I've never used on before so I'm keen to get everyone's thoughts. I'll definitely try it out with my current set up, but I was curious to see if anyone else has used then and what their experiences were...

p.s. please don't tell me 'they suck' or 'don't use them', because I'll end up getting one as i like to experiment, I'd just like to see what experiences and advice people have to share on them.

    Warbuggies are awesome.

They're cheap and mobile firepower that can't get locked down in HtH and can be used to block LoS or movement. Always go for tl rokkits, since Orks are never not needing more anti-tank.

    Awesome!

Would you recommend them in a squadron or are they effective individually?

If it's with rokkits, then one is fine. Just drive around the edges of the board taking shots at stuff. It's not so powerful as to force your opponent to make an effort to kill it...but if he does, then that's fine too. If it gets charged and survives it can drive away.

Squadrons are fine, I like 3 squadrons of 2. Cheap, mobile rokkits are always good.

Cool... right now my Anti-Armour consists of 6 'copters and a 3 Kanz (+ power klaws on nobs as well of course). I'm planning on replacing some of my copters with Buggies as the copters get killed too easy

Split the Koptaz into units of 1-2, add a buzzsaw and now they can alpha strike off the scout move (charge a tank that hasn't moved for sweet auto-hits.

I'd also look into more Kanz and/or Lootas.

Yeah I split the 'copters into 3 squads of 2 and try and get some early tank hits... haven't experimented with buzzsaws yet though, but i definitely will....

I don't use them because I use a foot sloggin army. So I take slower looted wagons, gunwagons, and battlewagons. When someone does a spped freek army, I say take them. They are cheap and highly mobile.

Warbuggies are awesome (except for ones with big shootas, which are underwhelming), although I wouldn't use the official model. $25 for a model only slightly larger than a warbike is ridiculous. I'd make them out of warbikes and whatever bits you have lying around. I recently made 3 warbuggies out of a single Ork trukk, some random toy parts, and leftover guns.
