I just finished building up my first ork army. Ebaying most of it i ended up with about 20 AoBR Nobz. So needless to say i have a few extra. I usually play 1500ish games, so here is the question should i run a squad of nobz, which i have heard mixed things about, or should i try to convert them to something else? and what do they convert to easily.
Same question about too many deff kopptas, i've heard they can be rocket buggies with a little work, has any one ever tried to make a nob bicker out of one?
Any advice would help a ton! thanks!
You can make ork trikes out of deffkoptas very easily by cutting the rotor assembly, front rokkits (only the rokkits, not the housing they're in) and back fan/little wing things off. Then, put a wheel each side of the back motor and a small one at the front where the rockits usd to be. Head and arm swaps make the ork look more like a biker than a speed crazed flier.
As for nobs, I quite like them, especially with a painboy - a relatively cheap and kinda cool model. You can also use one of your spare nobe to model a painboy. The FnP helps them stay in the game, and they have oeftn tipped the balance for me, or at the least helped me not lose by as much!
You can turn half of them into kommandos simply by giving them a green camo paint job. That's what I'd do.
"Any job worth doing, is worth doing with a powerklaw."
That's a great idea....
Now weather thats a worthy conversion is up for debate... but it's what I did!
I am verbose. Sorry.
