Pictures of the New Eldar Tanks - The Hogs of War - 40k Conversions and Tactics)
Totally diggin' the Nightspinner, I'm torn on the Fire Prism. Granted it's only from one angle, but it looks a little too spidery and a lot like a just a variant Falcon. A different paint job on the whole thing, particularly the crystals might make it look better though.
I agree, the nightspinner is sick. Can't wait to see the rules...
The Fire Prism looks sooo freakin' epic. The crystal looks like its transparent now, which I dig. It looks less of a Falcon variant than the current one IMO...
There's something about the new fireprism that I just don't like. It seems too... mechanical.. to be eldar.
I'm kind of unsure about the Fire Prism. It reminds me of the older Forgeworld Scorpion and Cobra, which I didn't really care for. I'd rather it had a sleeker low profile turret like the Scorpion II.
I will still buy at least one, and then decide it I want more.
It will be nice to swap out the parts though (looks like it will be easy enough to magnetize). Makes it good for anti mech or anti horde.
I would really like to see an Eldar tank that doesn't use the exact same model as every other Eldar tank! Wow, a new turret to put on the same tank! SWEET!
Almost every other army does the same thing.
Tau have the Devilfish Body
IG has Chimera Chassis
DE have the Raider
Need I keep going?
I for one think our tanks look sleek and sexy in comparison to every other army's tanks.
Eldar W/D/L: 17/15/12
Ordo Malleus W/D/L: 24/3/4
Crimson Fists: In Progress
If your going to do a comparison, do it properly, list all the OTHER tanks those armies get that aren't on the same chasis......
I mean DE get two tanks, although one is just an upgrade of the other.
Tau get 3 is it?
IG now have their super heavies, plus drastically different kits for their tanks, as do Space marines.
I personally don't mind our tanks, I just wish we would get a few more rule variants/loadouts for them.
I'm certainly not convinced to buy either one yet, even if it has good rules. I want the army as a whole to be worthwhile, not perpetuate warmachine40k.
