Well originally i was going to go 2 hive tyrants with hive commander and go all deep striking and out flanking. But i have heard a lot of that would not work (2k list 2 trygons and lots of hormies and stealers.)
Now i was rethinking some of my build for a hit hard and fast.
It comes down to A hive Tyrant not sure of the build but it would be over 200 points most likely.
Or for the same price go an Alpha prime naked with naked warriors equal to the Tyrants Value. This benefit is for either shooting or CQC they will have more shots and more attacks and more wounds to spread than a tyrant.
I have only played nids with 4th ed codex i still need to try 5th ed. I used to run a Brood lord as my HQ. He just looked super cool but i cant do that anymore sadly.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

An all deep-striking nid list is something to fear. It works very well.
For larger games I go tyrant. The tyrant, while expensive, is an excellent support unit. Plus it brings the ability to dish out damage to the party. I'll take a prime in a lower point game.
