I was wondering what ye thought of the idea of a "busta-mobile", or put in practical terms, a battlewagon full of tank bustas designed to destroy vehicles. It may look something like this (and please forgive me if anything is innaccurate, as I do not have my codex or rulebook in front of me):
Tankbustas- (not sure on the best number), nob w/ PK or Tankhammer (great conversion opportunity here)
Battle Wagon- deff-rolla, boarding plank, closed top (I believe the bustas can all shoot still? if not, drop it), max rokkits and possibly kannon
Mount the vehicle, get behind enemy vehicles, and blast them with the busta rokkits and the BW's rokkits/kannon, then you get the deff-rolla hits and boarding plank hit when you charge. Or, dump the bustas in a good spot so you can target different vehicles or other enemies with the BW.
I'm not a mechanized expert, as I run a largely slogging army, but this could be a wicked way to wipe high-priority enemy armor off the map.
There are clearly some shortcomings- 2 heavy slots, price, glory hogs, etc.

run a full squad. with a nob with pk/pole. add some squigs for him to use as he loses his rokkit.
Keep the deff rolla minimised. big shoota and deff rolla max. Ard top limits your shooting ability so ditch it.
It's an alright unit to use but there are better and cheaper choices. you could cram a boatload of buggies and deffkoptas with rokkit in there for the same cost. TL rokkits with the potential to kill multiple vehicles a turn. and can't be wiped out as easy.
The glory hogs rule is also easy to exploit. just drive a cheapo transport next to them to protect your big tanks.
Against Tyranids it would be a nice hunter killer unit for MC's. wounding on 2's(most of the time) and AP 3 is awesome on most of the big critters
It's not a great idea. The battle wagon isn't going to be fast enough to get you behind the enemy and even if you could, you could just ram with deff-rolla. Also mentioned, "glory hogs" sucks. It sucks hard. I actually find it funny that tankbustas are better fighting nids than any other army.
If you call it a Missile launcher, then it'll never hit anything.
100% of people who aren't Karmoon know Saraneth is invincible.
Yeah, Tankbustas will require good placement on your part. I like the idea of running them in a battlewagon (open topped, so they can all shoot by the way). If an opponent wants to sacrifice a vehicle to them, fine.
You don't need to sacrifice 2 heavy slots. Tankbustas are an elite choice.
Personally, I like running a small squad with 2 tankhammers, nob, powerklaw, bosspole, and 2 bomb squigs, in a looted wagon w/rokkit. It's cheap enough to still be expendable, and they can crack open tanks really well.
You can go large squad in a battlewagon if you like, but (as others have mentioned) glory hogs is tough to deal with, and there are better ways to get rokkit shots into the army (rokkit buggies, deffkoptas, kannons, etc). A troop unit in a battlewagon with a deffrolla, grot riggers, and a big shoota will probably do just as well, and also do a lot more for you.
The real advantage of tank bustas is their ability to take out tough transports in the assault phase, and fry weaker tanks with squig bombs.
"Any job worth doing, is worth doing with a powerklaw."
The only way I can see Tankbustas as being effective except against tyranids is to run them inside of a looted wagon: rush the wagon, then position the wagon so it blocks LOS to something that the glory hogs would normally effect you: i.e. blocking LOS to the razorback with the wagon so your bustas can shoot those tactical marines etc etc.
