so this one guy that i play against often always destroys me with his necrons and the most i've been able to do is slow the rate of destruction. any way we played a 1750pt game recently and by turn 4 i was dead. so any help would be much appreciated.
to start my army:
1 farseer with doom, guide, spirit stones
1 farseer with guide, fortune, spirit stones, singing spear
10 dire avengers with exarch 2 shuricats, bladestorm and defend (farseer with doom joined them)
1 wave serpent with scatter laser, spirit stone
10 more avengers with the same stuff including the serpent
6 firedragons exarch with fire pike(farseer with singing spear joined them)
1 wave serpent with EMl, and spirit stone
1 wave serpent with EML, and spirit stone
3 warwalkers with bright lances
1 fire prism with spirit stones and holo fields
His list (what i can remember anyway)
3 squads of 10 necron warriors(i think)
2 squads of 4 destroyers(i think)
2 squads of 2 heavy destroyers
turn one saw my fireprism's weapons destroyed, and 1 waveserpents wrecked(firedragon) and 2 other immobilized.(other firedragon and direavenger) the rest of the game was a slaughter fest as you can imagine. so ya just once id like to beat him so any helpful advise would be welcomed thank you in advance.

I would suggest swapping out the BL's on your War Walkers for some Scatter Lasers. That ought to help phase them out quicker. And, as always when facing a Monolith, ignore it.
Using YOUR list... Stay at max range, dont let his warriors get free shots, ignore the monolith with this list, take out H. destroyers, and destroyers, I would even feed the Deciever sacrificial units if need be and dont try to kill it as you probably won't. Not at all impossible to win with that list but in this particular instance the fire dragons are a liability. They should be used to take out the destroyers, using them to take on the deciever is a waste of thier points. If they get close enough to fire and assault the destroyers.. Do it.! Thats the safest sport for them, and it ties up his units. Otherwise their dead meat next round.
Using an alternate list. Load up on EMLs, Wraitlords, CC units hitting his warrior lines going for the sweep, 2 fireprisims, dropping huge AP 3 plates of goodness on him denying his armor save. Thats kind of tooling your list though and could be viewed as unsportsmanlike, you can expect him to do the same to you next game.....

Use fire prisms in pairs.
Eldar -APOC- 6500 Points
Chaos Daemons -Fate Crusher- 3500 Points
Grey knights - 1000 Points
why two squads of fire dragons against necrons?
drop one squad for a 2nd fire prism
drop the other squad for more troops. just two units is asking for trouble.
thanks for the advice(rep all around) and i would use a second prism if i had one
Don't fire at the C'tan or Monolith.
Shoot the troops to pieces, and force the "phase out" rule.
Works every time for me.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
If you're more concerned about friendliness, take Dark Reapers, and give the Exarch a Tempest Launcher with crack shot. That squad will lay a world of hurt on the 'Crons from long range. Plus, you still have room for your two prisms. This will force the Crons into cover, which, if they don't move, you just whittle away at them. If they DO move, they'll move closer to any tasty banshee's you have ready to nom them up.
