Welcome to Librarium Online!
I've got some 'crons that I've just painted up and was wandering what people might think of them. Please, comment and criticise.
I'll be getting some more done soon. I'm looking at some destroyers next... and maybe a lord after. More to come =]
They look pretty cool, personally though I'd paint their gun in a Chaos Black just to seperate it from the rest of their body.

Necrons: W-19 D-3 L-2
Protectorate of Menoth: W-36 D-0 L-7
I like the look of them too, however I feel that they need some sort of a highlight over the entirity of the model, and then a different one over the weapon, to create that sense of contrast, as well as to make it stand out in general. Iwould agree with Ghost about applying some Chaos Black to the weapon, however I would only do this as a highlight.
In regards to one over the actual model, well, there are so many possibilities out there that you could do. Consider a rich Mechrite Red, or how about a Blazing Orange, blended with some Licche Purple? Perhaps a coating of Bleached Bone, and then layered with Sunburst Yellow, to give the effect of glowing skeletal warriors? Again, the choice is up to you, and you don't even have to do that if you do not want to. Although, in my opinion I think they would make for a great army to play with, and to admire visually as well if you chose to.
Light a fire for a man, and he will be warm for a night. Light a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.
Very well executed paint job, I'd say it borders on perfect. Also, kudos on the photography, excellent work. I'm not going to comment on the scheme, I think all Necrons are pretty boring looking, but again, you have executed your work flawlessly.
Those necrons look pretty cool. And it also seems you used a great painting process to get them ready asap. When I painted necrons I got stuck for week applying layers of dry brush and ink washes... Then I bougth in eBay some painted destroyers that look like exactly like yours and I weren't able to pain mine the same way.
Malignance4, can you tell us broadly how you paint them?
great paint job! I recently started into the hobby and my first army is the necrons. I've only played one game so far, but I'm really enjoying painting them. Any tips for painting the tiny details, like the green pipes in the gun, near the trigger?
You'll probably be surprised if I told you could paint your army impossibly fast with my method. If I bothered to go on a spree I could easily have my entire 4000pts done in well under a week. It's realy simple, lazy, but at the same time gives a perfect (but rather plain) finnish.

Platemail metal colour primer, Dark tone quickshade dip, anti-shine matt varnish.
Take your assembled models outside, and prime them with the plate mail metal spray... Then, once dry, go inside and lavish some basic detail onto them. You can be real lazy. Take my warrior for example, all I did with him was paint the wires on the gun and torso in snot green. I left no recesses, I did no highlights, just got the green and slapped it on (just make you dont spill over the wires and onto the rest of the model, clean that up with GW's chainmail.) Obviously, you can decide how much detail you aplly to your own models, but dont bother with highlights / leaving recesses. Once dry, go outside and dip your models in the quick-shade dip. Shake of excess and leave for 24 hours to dry. This dip will sink into recesses and receed off of raised areas, instantly shadowing and highlighting your mini for you flawlessly. Unfortunately, this will leave your models with a hideous shine... but just coat them in the matt varnish spray to sort that out! Base your minis and done

I've never seen air bubbles in the green rods of the guns before. Mine are all solid green. Neat. You have more courage posting your work than me, I couldn't stand the critiquing! On mine, I dry brushed a bit of a green highlight on the edges of the armour kinda like the monolith highlights. I like yours, but from the photos, it looks a bit like not enough variety of colours for my liking.
