I'm confused about the the use of the word 'character' in deathleaper's 'its after me' power
Does this restrict the use of the power to independent characters only? Or unique characters?
If so would that make things like monstrous creatures like avatar, Daemon Princes, hive tyrants immune to this? Also unique characters that are not designated as characters such as guardsman marbo would also be therefore immune.
unfortunately, there's no strict RaW ruling on this, and something I've pondered myself.
if you really wanted to rule it by RaW then no one would get effected by it as character is not a unit type. perhaps RAI means they were referring to Independent Characters, which could very well mean you'll face an army that won't be effected by DL's ability.
to me that makes sense, because MC's, particularly the ones you've mentioned don't seem to be the sort that'd be unnerved by being stalked.
and its a very rare case when you're faced with a character like Marbo, a single model unit that's not an IC.
The verbiage is very specific. You have models that are "characters" without having the Independent Character rule. Think of Telion or Pask, for example.
Deathleaper can affect any of them.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
