Finally finished! Man painting a trygon is one heck of an adventure!
Like almost all Nid players I paint my Nids pretty quickly but decided to paint one model in my army really well and that was this trygon prime.
A few notes;
- this trygon is from Hive Fleet Draco, this Hive fleet is attracted to sunlight
- If youve noticed Hive Fleet Draco's chitin is very bright and colourful while their skin is dark that is because the hive fleet uses colour to their advantage as most of their enemies are unconsciously attracted t brighter colours and are more likely to shoot at a bright and shining carapace than a dull piece of flesh
-The trygon prime has a pair of deathspitters to explain why he can shoot more than a regular trygon
Thoughts, Comments? Enjoy!
very very nice. Good touch with the deathspitters too.
Eh personally im not sold on the deathspitters, especially in the 3rd pic... somehow the gap between the tallons looks too.... big.
However the paint scheme is gorgeous so well done for that
Your friendly neighbourhood gargantuan creature
That's well done, reppy for you. I like the work on the carapace. Are the deathspitters meant to be it's bio-shock?
@ Leech: Yeah the deathspitters are meant to be bio-shock, I couldn't stand to have my trygon prime shoot make believe lightning at people
Nice. +Reps. Got any pictures of the rest of your army?
Record: Win - Loss - Draw: Hive Fleet Pandora (New) 32-6-6 Space Wolf 7th Co. 52-11-6
Blood Angels 12-4-2 Daemonhunters 20-8-3
Imperial Guards 12-5-2 Daemons 8-3-2
Right now you can find a few other pics on my Project thread, but I'll post a few more shortly
Here are some more pictures of my Nids; one of my Carnifixes (the other two are getting a biomorph makeover) and some genestealers. These tyranid models were some of the first figures I've ever painted, so be gentle on the critique There's no way I'll never get my entire tyranid army looking like my trygon :p
