Anyone else seeing the Skyray removed from the models provided by GW?
Either they caught on that they were putting hammerhead sprues in them, or no one is buying them to the point they stopped supplying them. =O
I needed one dammit!
They can't do that as this would mean that thousands of their Skyray units would be pulled off the selves and sent back to warehouses, that would otherwise cost GW too much to make such a large movement of stock. It's inpracticable and a waste of money for GW, maybe they're just pulling them off the selves just to count the stock as retail outlets do.
The GW website is still showing them in the Tau section (which doesn't prove anything mind you) and I haven't been to my GW to confirm/deny this so I wouldn't know, the only other reason why they're pulling them off the shelves is that they could be preparing for a new Codex update - Unlikely, but a very tiny possibility.
I think GW should continue to sell Skyray boxed sets and just get rid of the Hammerhead boxes, changing the title of it from "Skyray Gunship" to "Tau Gunship" would save GW through manufacturing costs and thus increase profits, through the centralisation of selling such a kit to just one box
Any other models being pulled or is that it?
The Sky Ray is off the GW website. I bet they are either removing it from the Tau completely(I'm hoping this would mean new codex, but the chances are slim), or they realized that if people want a Sky Ray, they can get the parts in the HH kit. However, they haven't updated the HH entry to show it can be a Sky Ray, but maybe they haven't caught that yet...

The Skyray is not up on the US GW website.
The skyray is up on the UK, Australian and New Zealand websites.
I don't know what that means. But its the truth!
I don't care what you say. I found a lightsaber in my garage and that makes me a Jedi
probably just some screwed-up HTML code...
Just took a look at the source code and it has been completely removed.
opinion: they may be discontinuing the skyray and as stated above added it as an option to the hammerhead kit.

This is a bit of Threadomancy, but I just received a Skyray new from Games Workshop.
The sprues remain the same, Hammerhead options included. For anyone else who wondered like me. =P
So i'ts more cost effective to get the skyray?
Worst comes to worst just go on ebay, or any other website that sells GW models. Funny thing is you are actualy going to save money if you use one of these websites, especialy ebay.
