Howling Banshee Exarch. Mirror Swords or Executioner?

I was browsing through my codex and looking at Banshees. Up until this point, I was set on an executioner, but rereading Mirror swords I've began to rethink. The Executioner is 2 S5 power weapon attacks and the swords is a whopping 4 S3 PW attacks.

The fewer harder hitting attacks are a good compromise to the S3 of banshees, but at the same time, we have Doom, so more lower S attacks could be better.

    Which is better?

Tough call indeed. I usually field the Executioner just to have a chance against vehicle armor and T5 enemies. I do haven't yet fielded my mirrorsword lady yet, but since I always run a doomseer with my Banshees...

Against T3 enemies the Mirrorswords are much more efficient. Against T5 and T6 enemies the Executioner is more effective. Against T4 enemies, the Mirrorswords are are 3.7% more effective... so not much. I say executioner.

I go with mirrorswords, I let the Dark Reapers, War Walkers, and Warlocks take care of the T5+ units. Its just not there element best to let someone else do take care of the tough buggers.

Executioner for me. The numbers work out that against T4 (read marines ) they are almost equal and the str 5 gives the unit a fighting chance against some vehicles and MCs.

    I prefer mirroswords too
i understand the executioner give some more "versatility" and that it maybe inevitable sometimes but charging a vehicle or a monstrous creature with a whole squad in which just 1 guy can harm doesnt seem too appealing for banshees. If it was some less specialized unit like guardian or something, i would be more ok with that.
Also Mirrorswords have more "dice" which means potentially more hits.

    and hey.. it looks cooler

I use both depending on my mood. I regularly fight nids so both weapons work, just make sure to keep a doomseer nearby for any t5+ opponents before charging.

I was a big mirrorswords fan, but I've switched to the executioner nowadays. I want to be sure I wound what I hit :-)

No-one ever factors in a BS5 pistol shot... The Mirrorswords take that off you which I don't like. The pistol is often another kill against the same types of enemies the mirrorsword is supposed to give you an advantage against.

defenetl executoner...you want to wound as much as posiblle, and sometimes the doom may be countered by enemy antipsyker ablities.
