What's in the "NEW" Tyranid Warrior box?

    Hello everyone,

With the new Tyranid Codex, the Warrior brood must be equipped identically except for one heavy weapon option. However, I remember that the Warrior box set only had one of each weapon. For example, only one warrior could be equipped with two sets (4) of scything talons or scything talons with rending claws. I was wondering if the "NEW" box set added two more monstrous creature arms sprue to solve this issue. I did hear that GW included Termagant weapons, but what about the melee weapons? Also, let me know if there is any other changes beside the ones in question.

    Thank you.

    -Kinetic Flow

I don't think there is a "NEW" Warrior box.

The current box is the same as it has been for years to my knowledge. It has no new stuff. There is only one set of rending claws etc.

Yeah, it's the same box we've had for about 5 years or so?

At worst you can buy the "monstrous creature arms" as bits from the GW online store. An expensive way to get more rending claws, but it's at least a real possibility.

Many people didn't use the rending claws in their 4e 'nid armies. You might be able to trade/buy these bits off of such players.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

The biggest let down for me is that there's only one warrior variant. If that's even the right word for it...

All of your warriors are doomed to have scratches in their carapace in exactly the same places are their brood brothers, not to mention one of two identical expressions. I could go on about their posture...

Just goes to show how good plastics are now. I still can't believe the quality that is the marauder horseman boxed set. I'm planning on using surplus arms from Raveners. If you know anyone who has used raveners with rending claws then presto, you're done.

That's just that site trying to sell you Tyranid Warriors, the idea was to get you hyped about them. They are "NEW" in sense of they just got them in stock or GW gave them a new box cover (GW has done that a few times).

I understand what you mean by it being a bit sad they aren't new. When you started this thread I thought that we might actually be getting new Warriors for a moment.
