Anyone ever been in a friendly game and decided to "play like an Ork"? By that I mean doing what an Ork would do, based on fluff. Charging heedlessly at enemy lines, crushing your opponent's most annoying units (simply because they're annoying), killing for revenge (dat's MY objective, stupid deep-strikers!), charging the biggest, scariest enemy on the board just to prove that you're tougher than it, etc.? We've all done some orky stuff at times, but playing an entire game based on it would be hilliarious. Loading up on (fungus) beer during the game might help, and shouting "Waaagh!" periodically is mandatory.
Anyone ever given this a try? What orky moves can you think up?
I thought that's how everyone played anyway? Certainly how I play, and I win most of the time!

lol. Honestly, I must confess I have never played a game like that, though I am feeling fairly inspired to right now. Unfortunately, I have just moved and all my models are pack and in storage for the month... I am sure they will just be aching for a good fight when I did them out though!
Hosea 1:11 - Great will be the day of Jezreel.
Yeah, I have, works a lot too suprisingly. I moved shot and charged all my units into an enemy dreadnought just for the sake of it, even if they can't hurt it. atleast the enemy rocket launchers cant shoot you until you finish the combat and by then you might be in combat range on them
It's fun anyway lul
Yeah i do that all the time when i play my orks lol, & its funny people spin out when they take out a whole heap of orks & i say "they're only orks, there's alot more than that" or when i have too many & my side is packed i say "you're not killing them fast them enough, i need to bring more reserves in, a LOT more" lol
Its funny, Tank Bustas are built in "play like an Ork" because they always shoot vehicles- which is their orky inclination. Yet people seem to hate them. Your thoughts?
I def. play like this pretty much all the time. I also have a self-rule that my Waaagh! does not count unless I actually yell one! Coincidentally, that's how my opponent knows I'm using that rule.
I love orks because they are the only army I really feel a connection with like that. Maybe Imp. Guard, where you can play (Like most people here already do) like a general in an army. I sometimes don't feel like playing my Necrons just because they aren't fluffy enough and I can't get in a Necron mindset... since they don't really have one...
I am verbose. Sorry.

Haha, it may lose you games, but the satisfaction of being Orky is worth it!
Yes i do play like an ork!!!
Just go straight to the enemy (no hesitation, no stands to take cover or nothing) shooting and screaming! (literally) and then WAAAAAAGH!!!!!! :-)
I play with Goffs ;-)
