After reading through the new codex, I was a little heartbroken when I learned that vehicles can't pass through a WWP (although it makes complete sense). However, let's say I have a Raider parked within 2" of a WWP and a footslogging unit pops through. Can I embark them directly onto the Raider and then move the Raider that turn?
I see no reason you couldn't. The WWP is treated as a board edge (as opposed say to disembarking from a vehicle), so there's no restriction on immediately embarking onto an available vehicle nearby.
And as long as the raider hasn't moved before they embark it doesn't need to be within 2" of the portal. The whole unit just needs to get within 2" using their move so the raider can be up to 8ish" away from the portal.
The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. Bring them understanding of the power of ourselves through our strength and their fear. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all fragments will be smashed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be consumed
