Just been reading some of the equipment descriptions in more detail and just wondered if anyone could just help me clarify on the Advanced stabilisation system?
If a team leader takes the Advanced stabilisation system, then all must be equipped with it, however only the team leader has access to the armoury.
I take it, therefore that a team of 2 or more XV88's cannot be equipped with the Advanced stabilisation system
The A/S/S is listed under battlesuit support systems so any XV88 has access to it; however if any one member of a team takes A/S/S then all members of the team must do so. The team leader upgrade allows access to battlesuit wargear which allows him to take other support systems even if he is forced to take the A/S/S. So you have it the other way around, if you took two or more XV88's in a team with only one of them equipped with the A/S/S it would be illegal (all must be equipped with them).
Oh trust me I will, hehe.
Whilst we're on the subject of drones, if you give a pathfinder shas'ui a target lock and a drone controller, do hi drones have to fire at his target? or do they have to fire at his units target?
I've played against Tau a fair bit but I'm new to tau as a player, only just got the book
Only the model who has access to the armoury may benefit from armoury equipment and its inherent advantages. The drones can't take target locks and are considered part of the PF unit as a whole, so only the 'Ui can target a second enemy unit. However, it's not really worth doing this; you're better concentrating all of your markerlights on one target to get the most return from your "shots". A PF team of 8 will on average only hit 4 times, so why reduce that level by having the 'Ui shooting at something else?
