Welcome to Librarium Online!
As the title suggests, post a pic of your all time best models that you have painted (Doesn't have to be just nids) if you guys can I would like to see some of your flyrants, I plan on converting one with balrog wings and am curious to see how you guys pull it off
It's hard to pick one just one. My top all-time favs would have to be:
Forgeworld trygon. I spent about 6 months on this guy, from drilling holes, fitting parts to shading. The only thing I don't like is the base, I could have done better:
Old wood elf glade guard, painted years ago. I spent so much time doing layered shading that I burnt myself out on fantasy for over six years!
And last but not least is my babylon5 station with drazi fleet. I did the station with about 5 different shades of gray and spent the time to paint the individual armor plates on the hull, pretty much identical to what they did on the show.
Here's my flyrant. In hindsight I wish I would have worked longer to make the wings more flush. But it gets the job done. The arms are also magnetized.
Nice, TamCoan. I really like your works. Keep it up.
Record: Win - Loss - Draw: Hive Fleet Pandora (New) 32-6-6 Space Wolf 7th Co. 52-11-6
Blood Angels 12-4-2 Daemonhunters 20-8-3
Imperial Guards 12-5-2 Daemons 8-3-2
That is one gorgeous Flyrant. Sadly I have nothing to post as yet because I have no favorite painted models yet-- as it is, that might be a while in the coming because I'll be too scared of ruining my own conversion work with a bad paint job. So for now, it's just practicing on painting mooks!
oooo ooooo i want to post too
the latest thing i've finished, and such a beautiful model:
and i'm painting up a bunch of marines for a friend (well, since i've added tot he army, its ours i guess) and this is my favourite model of the bunch so far
was quite proud of how my tyrant turned out in photos (he got dropped in the last bunch of games i played but I'll make him a bare-bones melee dude, just slap on the lash whip and bonesword i reckon)
and for my dark angel models, my favourites are my belial and my terminator librarian
I love that hive tyrant. Makes it even better as I use a similar color scheme I love how you brought out the "shiny" colors on the carapace.
Here are some pics of my winged Hive Tyrant.
One of my favourites is also Scorpion Tyrant, he took so long to paint and convert and he is my main boss-bug.
Here is also Mr Eyeball. He is a Possessed I made for my Worldeaters Chaos Marines. Also there is my spiky tank of death I made for my Worldeaters.
See boiling blood of the Daemonic interior!
Props to you all for your excellently painted models. To the OP, have you looked at the forgeworld winged hive tyrant? It's a lil different then a normal looking tyrant but has some great wings you could use and build up your tyrant from there.
I'm proudest of my "harpifexes", which are magnetized carnifex bodies with virtually every harpy and carnifex biomorph ready and available for attachment. Every single army list I play uses both of these models in one capacity or another.
Here you can see them kitted out as harpies with the carnifex biomorphs scattered around them.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
