Hello.

In my army I have 32hormies and 32TS/SF.

Is that enough cannon fodder?

How large of an army are you fielding?
Do not meddle in the affairs of Tyranids, for you are crunchy and taste good with everything!

Toxin Sacs/Spinefists.

For cannon fodder, I'd even drop the TS. With just SFs, you have one of the cheapest point models in the game. You can't go wrong there, IMO.

As said, depends on the size of the game...

I personally would strive to field some more Leaping Gaunts, and maybe only a single brood of pure Spinegaunts.

Toxinspinegaunts I would leave for a Seeding Swarm list, where they can deal the most damage.

How many points is this force? in a 1000 pt army this would be alot of cannon fodder but say in a 2500 pt army you may need some more gaunts/rippers or whatever you use as fodder.

I agree with uzi you need more leaper style gaunts than normal gaunts, I sometimes use twice as many hormies as spine fist.
Ie 24 spine fist gaunts and 48 hormies.

Thanks for all the replies.

I am currently fielding 1000-1500 pts.

I would like to field only leaping gaunts, but they come in sets...

And yes, I use ts/sf gaunts in a seeding swarm without numbers.

If You want only Leaping Gaunts, You could bit-order the Hormagaunt sprues either straight from GW Online Store, or via Your GW stockist (if they can perform this service; not all can).

It will be slightly more expensive and You won't be getting the Biomorph sprues, but at least You won't be getting any walking Gaunts You do not need.
