Welcome to Librarium Online!
I can pretend to say i've painted an eldar army, but in truth i applied paint to eldar models. These tyranids are the first army i've attempted to paint to a more respectable level. I'm too embarressed to post them on the painting forum as their not of that caliber, but i did feel like sharing with somebody.
As you can see the trygon hasn't been based yet. Also the warrior has since seen addtional work (shaded talons and more highlighting and detail).
They are good! dont be embarrassed we all have to start somewhere..... Except Leech >.>
But my painting is about the same, in face yours is prob better!
Yea I pretty much copied his paint scheme, with his blessings of course.
Of course. You should post a pic of your entire army! it would look great.
Will do that when they're all painted, don't expect it anytime soon though :--)
They're good. I like he highlights on the carapace. Don't be embarrassed to post them in the painting forum. If anything, you should be proud to do so.
Record: Win - Loss - Draw: Hive Fleet Pandora (New) 32-6-6 Space Wolf 7th Co. 52-11-6
Blood Angels 12-4-2 Daemonhunters 20-8-3
Imperial Guards 12-5-2 Daemons 8-3-2
So i've started painting the genestealers and have two variations. Essentially the hive fleet leviathan and kraken painting schemes for the genestealers with my colors applied. They're not finished because once i decide i have to go back and paint the other to match. So, which way should i paint the stealers?
Those bugs are cool. I like the colours you're using.
You could try to apply some inks to a few areas. Thins like the tube on the arm of the Tyranid Warrior with the barbed strangler. Some red ink will bring it out more. Other areas could be the special coils on the Trygon Prime which are on the end of it's tail and mandibles. Paint that area a different colour than the carapace and exoskeleton, dark green with some drybrushing on it. Then you can give it some ink too.
You can also try to carefully apply some more highlights to certain areas around the mouth and other select parts, whatever you like. Doing that helps to show up these parts and gives the critters more of an expression.
I think that you couls paint your Stealers to match the rest of your swarm. You may not like the end result if they look different from your other bugs. The carapace on the back is fun to paint on them because the spine's shape will give you lots of room to do new effects. You should post pics of your models in the painting forum, that way you will be casting your net the widest for new info, they are painted well so you should be proud of them.
Perhaps, but i like my nids only club house. Them other armies players can be mean. Plus i've seen khaiden's eldar and it's a hard act to follow.
