During a game last night a unit of termagants started a turn within 6" of a tervigon. After movement they were still within 6". They then assaulted and ended up just outside of 6".
My question is at which point should you measure to see if the gants get the Tervigon's adrenal glands and toxin sacs?
We played it that they had to be within 6" after the charge so they didn't get the benefits. The codex never makes it clear when to measure(that I could see anyway) but for things like synapse you measure at the start of the turn before any movement.
Oroto ego sum
There is only one assault phase. So long as the gants were within 6" of the Tervigon at the start of the assault phase, they should get the benefit of the Tervigon's toxin sacs and/or adrenal glands, even if their charge takes them beyond that initial 6".
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

The way I play it is that for toxin sacs, they have to be within 6" to receive the benefits. So if their charge takes them out of 6" of the tervigon, then they are no longer within his buff radius. Furious charge, on the other hand, occurs the moment they charge. Thus, if they were within 6" of the tervigon at the time they charge, they've already satisfied the requirements for FC and thus get the FC bonuses even if their charge were to take them more than 6" away from the tervigon.
So for your gaunts, always leave a trailing gaunt so that when you charge, there is 1 gaunt still within 6" of the tervigon.
