I just started playing 4th edition, so i don't know the 3rd edition rules very well if at all. A lot fo websites and tactics talk about fully loaded trukks (red pt job, turbo boosta, etc.) that can go 26"-31". I was just wondering what the rules for trukks are now in 4th edition. I'm a little confused even after reading all the rules many times. I may have just missed something.
Are trukks (or any fast attack vehicles for that matter) simply considered fast vehicles because they are in the fast attack section? It seems logical, but the rulebook merely states that some vehicles are "notably fast" and i don't know what that means. Also, can Boyz really get out fo a moving trukk and assault during the assault phase. This is what a lot of websites have posted, but it looks like that was the 3rd edition ruling.
Thanks in advance. Can't wait to bash some heads wit me boyz!
it is fast if it is stated that it is fast in the type setion on the army list
(.idout erower, there seems to be a conetion problem between thebrandt chair and his key broad)

as for ork beeing able to assault is simply the fact that truks and battlewagons are opentopped which enables this
All vehicles can move up to 12" in the movement phase, unless otherwise noted. this is where fast vehicles come in. When you look at the trukk entry in the codex you will see that is is fast. fast vehicles may move up to 24". Orks may assault out of them because the trukk is open topped, but only if it moved 12" or less during the movement phase. You could extend this with turbo boostas but to be able to assault you would have to roll a 3 or less for the extra movement.
The enemies of the Emperor fear many things. They fear discovery, defeat, despair and death. Yet there is one thing they fear above all others. They fear the wrath of the Space Marines!
