I curious about the Craft Worlds, now I like to consider my knowledge on the Eldar to be my ok, yet I know very little on all of the Craftworlds. And due to my hatred of that book Eldar Prophecy I would rather use different sources.
Can any of you give me all your knowledge on Craftworldss in general as it would be a huge help for me.
Suffer not a Mon'Keigh to live
Suffer not the works of the C'Tan
Well, not that I'm any kind of authority on Eldar fluff, but I've picked up a bit here and there that might help... Sorry if this is stuff you already know and I'm not actually telling you anything new!
The craftworlds are gigantic ships built by the Eldar to escape (or at least to attempt to escape) the fall. The Exodites left first, then the Craftworlds were built when the other Eldar realised they couldn't prevent what was coming. I think some were destroyed when the eye of terror burst in to real-space.
Each craftworld seems to exhibit somewhat different characteristics, according to an old Eldar Codex I have...
Biel-Tan armies field lots of Aspect Warriors, colours are green and white
Saim-Hann armies have lots of Jetbikes and Skimmers, colours are red contrasted with black and/or white
Ulthwe armies have lots of Farseers and Warlocks, and usually use black for their army colour
Alaitoc armies use lots of Rangers, and their army colours are primarily blue with yellow or white
Iyanden armies use a lot of Wraithlords and Wraithguard, and are usually yellow and blue
To be honest I probably couldn't tell you much more than that...
Path of the Warrior by Gav Thorpe is a fine portrayal of life within a Craftworld (Alaitoc, in this case).
Also a relatively decent book is Farseer. Do not read anything by mr. Goto.
I suggest read all the codexes and craftworld: eldar codex. And last DE codex.
That will get you what fluff you need
Hight elf and Craftworld Eldar army project pics heavy: linky
Iyanden is heavy on the Wraithguard and Lords because of the Tyranids. So many where lost when the Hive Fleet hit the craftworld that they have to rely more on wraith bone constructs then actual man power to do their fighting.
