Welcome to Librarium Online!
I was in the Games Workshop today looking at the new Genestealer and the plastic hive node in the box set when i asked about the new codex, the Mgr of the shop said that there a running late with there other releases from Lord of the rings so in has pushed the Nids codex back to summer time (N) :realmad: this also encludes the new plastic figures. There was one ray of sun shine and that Forgeworld are bring out a new TMC for us nids plays but i'm still on a downer about the codex

Don't believe him. That's not to say it's not true, but never believe anything a GW employee ever tells you. Ever.
They are notoriously bad (especially store managers, it seems) at giving out false rumours when they havn't a clue of whats going on.
 Well, to add to the confusion...
I was in the Memphis, Tn GW Battle Bunker again today (picked up the new FW Winged ST HT..see my Avatar..awesome).
We were talking about the new codices coming out and they still maintain that Battle for Macragge is out in Oct, SM codex out in Nov, Ogre Kingdom (for WHF in Dec, then 'nid codex in Feb/early March. Of course, models to follow.
New note from them, possibly not all armies will be revised. They 'speculated' on SM, 'Nid, Eldar, Orks, with possibly a new race at the end of 2005.
Also, from a different thread, at the recen Games Day, GW reps talking up all the new goodies for Codex SM. When asked about 'nids, 'they wouldn't say a word.' The feeling was the codex was done & being kept under wraps until closer to the release date (HOPE HOPE).
Any how, I guess we'll see what we see even though it can drive us
I bet that GW monitors these sites and get a big chuckle out of us!!
OOOOPS! I bought the codex a month ago, BRAND NEW!!!!!!! GRRRRRRR :realmad:
Any1 no if they r gonna make any of the raveners or lictors or biovores or any other metal guys plastic? I don't no how 2 pin cause im new. Help wood b apreciated! TY!
"If a ninja does anything anywhere it won't make a sound, but if it does it's probably gonna be the last sound you hear."
A new race? Isn't 11 enough for GW? Maybe they'll be releasing a Kroot codex.... highly doubtful.... well sounds like good news form here on out..... peace my friends! (Y) Nidz will overcome the 40k univerese!!
well the new race is probaly the alienhunters
a lot of thing have already been confirmed regarding the release of the SM but the fact that GW doesn't mention anything about the nids does give severe grounds for reservation.
They might wait for GD UK to show of models of the new nids
until it is released we can only cross our talons

I've heard (can't recall where) there are possible 4 new alien races being considered. Heck, just look at The Xenos Threat fluff on page 138-139 of the rule book. Aliens mentioned: Loxatl, Slanni, Hrud, Drugh, Lacrymole, Barghesi, Khrave, Caradochians.

Sort of already been done. Check out pages 32-39 of good ol' Chapter Approved 2004.

Neither can the inevitable be halted or avoided.
Hive Fleet Infernus shall scorch all worlds in its path.
One of GWs official forum moderators, Tim Huckelberry (aka Hivemind-Tim), said that the Codex would not be coming this year, and probably not early next year either...
He's usually quite knowledgeable about the Tyranids and what's going to happen, so I fear the worst... But he still is not GW studio staff, so still nothing official.
As for the new race, it'll be an entirely new race... The Ordo Xenos is just a new army for the Imperium.
No certainties on what it'll be, but to add to the list of Xenos previously mentioned, they could also be the Demiurg... This would re-introduce a short, sturdy race of humanoid beings into the 40k scene.
They're already included in the Battlefleet Gothic game as allies for the Tau.
But nothing to do but wait. :hmm:
"The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all biomatter consumed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be devoured."
well its a mixed bag of replies so we will just have to wait and see, at least i got Halo 2 in Nov for xbox to look forward too
