Comments /thoughts on the following idea, but think more 'looks good on the table' and 'cohesive' rather then powerful.
I've read a bit about Wraithguard armies, and the fact that they can be very tough to shift. As many people have said, Wraithguard models are expensive, metal and suffer from very poor 'static' poses.
The idea I've got is to use FW Shadow Spectres to count as Wraithguard (great looking models, cheaper and blurb refers to them as wraith like). Then add some Fire Prisms (as these complement the weapon on the Shadow Spectre). I know that Wraithguard have D-cannons, but the overall look would be good. Add in some Spiritseers, a Farseer (perhaps Eldrad) and go from there.
Thank you for any thoughts.
i like the idea. however, i don't think it would be allowed in some tourneys. also, it wont be much cheaper because the forgeworld models are over 30 quid for five.
the idea is good though, if U manage ti get that up and running then post me some pics!
What a waste. It's not illegal to cast replicas of the wraithguard.. provided you never sell them. That'd be really easy too, since wraithguard have very little intricate detail.
