Welcome to Librarium Online!
My friend recently brought here up to my attention again saying she seems like a very playable character. After thinking a while I though she deserves some attention. Here's what I notice. Let me know what you think on her.
-She's 130 points which is cheap for 8 attacks on the charge (4 in profile, 1 for 2 CC, 2 for Lady's Blade, 1 For Charge)
-She allows you to reposition D3 units. Great for any suicide squads or things you don't want to die after you find out your badly positioned for the first turn or anything you want to move out of reach of your opponents heavies.
-She avoids psychic attacks along with her entire unit
-She has a good stat line especially the I and LD
-She has an invuln save. I recommend pairing her with wracks in a raider so she also has FNP
-Weak S similar to Lelith
Fetch me another plaything. This one seems to have broken- Urien Rakarth
I used her in a tournament once and she is pretty "meh" - she doesn't survive well that is for sure.
She was for the most part "unmolested" by the Rune Priests shenannigans but later died to bolter fire fire.
Also, I believe I moved 2nd in all 3 games and thus never got to benefit from her repositioning power.
She might be fun to have in a Death Star unit with Vect (in fact I think the two are made for each other) but I too would say no to a tournament.
"On a hunch, I melted them down and inhaled the fumes and read the dark eldar codex again, AND FOUND A BUNCH OF NEW RULES HIDDEN BEHIND THE OTHER WORDS..." [Gardeth on modelling & interpreting the DE Codex]
She can be beneficial in a list with static dark lance platforms.
in my opinion lady malys is one of our special HQ's who you can competitvely play. Lady malys is a normal archon (reasonably well upgraded) well alrounded if you then include her Crystal heart special ability then this would close to justify her point cost so her precognisant rule is just a bonus! i would say that Lady malys if used properly is more competitive that a normal archon.

I've used her combined with Vect in 2000pts and they go quite well together. Often opponents will give me first turn rather than risk losing it to Vect. Not the easiest list to use in competitive play since there's almost 400 points in 2 HQ's though.
I agree that static DL squads are a good use of her redeploy, it can be a lot of fun to "accidentally" leave a squad more exposed than you intended to, then try not to laugh maniacally as your opponent deploy a few squads to take advantage of your "mistake", then redeploy them to the other side of the board.
The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. Bring them understanding of the power of ourselves through our strength and their fear. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all fragments will be smashed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be consumed
I intend to use her at the 2000 point level as my second HQ choice. She will roll in my Archon's Venom in place of the fourth incubi. I think the two of them will work well together. I intend to steal her love away from Vect. ^_^
In my experience she is an excellent support character for a unit of bloodbrydes - the wych weapons are down to perosnal taste but she provides the unit with something it lacks, mass pwoer weapon attacks. Malys + Bloodbrydes are versatile, fairly cheap and will literally have an answer to any enemy going.
What people often overlook is that malys is one of 3 DE named characters that can actually use pwoer from pain to its maximum potential, this is something that is very hard to quantify on paper but has massive ramifications in game.
Get a single pain token and that unit isn't oing anywhere i na hurry.
Get two pain tokens and (regardless of combat drugs) on the charge it will start chewing through the majority of units in the game in very short order.
Malys with furious charge will out damage an agoniser archon against just about every T3/4 opponent in the game (if the archon has re-roll to wound on drugs however they break even more or less). Malys shares a lot in common with drazhar if you look closely and drazhar is a killing machine one he gets into position and she is no different.
