    Ork Grot Bot?

    Hey All,

Went online to Forge World to check out the grot bot, which I'm considering purchasing, and couldn't find it under the Ork section. Looked through all three pages. Am I just missing it, or is it gone? Strange.

    Thanks,

    Seanchadith

I'm fairly new to the WH 40k scene as I just started a year ago almost exactly (my birthday is the 30th and my first battle force was a b-day present) But I've never seen a grot bot, nor do I see it mentioned in the imperial armour book... what is this grot bot you speak of?

Im pretty sure its one of those limited edition models from like a Forge World event. You can pick it up on ebay but its usually pricey if I recall rightly.

It is a beast of a model.

    +1 shinglepants.

It was a limited edition item that was only available at the event. There are no rules for it. I've only seen it available on ebay, usually goes for roughly 50 bucks.

It's about the size of a killa kan. Many use the rules for a mega armored warboss or a deff dread (just add 2 weapons to it).

Here's a size comparison to a normal dread.

This thread is interesting to me, because I was JUST debating buying one the other day. The seller was in russia though, and I didn't feel like waiting 20 days to get it.

I'll probably use it as the Warboss when I eventually get round to doing my Rebal Grot army. Seems like a good use for it.

Yeah, I think that was the main idea behind the model.

I painted one of these up in my WIP thread (inside the painting area) not so long ago. Bugger to paint - took ages. But great model.

Sadly it was a limited edition and is no longer available. There were experimental rules for it that were published on forgeworlds site. I'm not sure if they're still there, probably not as the model is long gone now. I have another (unpainted) at home. Not sure if I'm using it yet.

Thanks for the info, all. I'd like to get one but shelling out around 60 bucks seems a bit much. It'd be cool to convert it into a warboss using a warboss head and maybe greenstuffing some flesh onto some of the arm/leg joints.

Having seen the model in the flesh I would have to say that this might be a very difficult thing to accomplish. I will consider whether or not I can spare you my unpainted one over the next week or so of holiday. Get back to you on that.

Would be interesting to kitbash one of 'em and try and come up with a Warboss. Those arms are epic, Cybork/Mega armoured PowerKlaw?

    Fantasticmrfox,

Have just checked out your thread and must say, splendid job good sir.
