Welcome to Librarium Online!
Im a little unclear from what I have read. I am new to the game and was wondering. The mob rule replace the leadership score with the # of orcs you have. Is the # based off of the army your field order just a squad that has a high# of orc units. Thanks for the help.
Each unit has a number of models in it. For example a single troop choice that consists of 20 boys would have a hypothetical LD score of 20. However since no score can be above 10 it becomes 10 for tests against the LD score.( an example is doom of malentai from tyranids) And they are considered to have the fearless special rule when above 10 boys for purposes of morale/ pinning/ combat results.
It is not calculated based on anything other than unit size. However if your numbers become lower than your LD value. Eg 5 boys left after being almost wiped. You can chose to use their natural LD value instead of mob rule.

I have a related question, how does mob rule work with modifiers?
If you have a negative leadership modifier (say -2) and 8 boyz. Is your leadership still 8 or 6?
Well in moral, pinning, combat they would be fearless so it wouldn't matter. but in other situations where you have to do the test you take their LD which if more than 10 men would be 10, if between 8 and 9 would be that, if 7 or lower you would just use their natual LD and then after that you take the modifiers. So even if you had 20 boys you would be 10-2 to give 8.
