So I just finished reading Path of the Warrior and now I need to know an effective way to use him. Only time I used him it was kill points vs Tau 1000 points he outflanked and racked up 4 killpoints with lucky outflank/multicharge
How do you all use him???
I have him, but he's kinda hard to use in my opinion. Or maybe it's less that he's hard to use and more that he's really expensive so it's hard to use him in such a way that you're better off having him instead of a WHOLE SQUAD of his aspect.
I suppose I can see him as a useful addition to a scorpeon unit if
A: You're in a higher point game and have already filled up your elite and heavy FOC choices
B: Plan to use the scorps as footbound infiltrators.
In this situation he provides improved survivability against things like battle cannons if you're in the woods, and can provide the ability to kill dreads and instakill other ICs.
I use him with an outflanking unit of Scorps (with their own Exarch).
6 base Str 8 power fist attacks (7 on the charge!) are just too good to pass up. With careful assaulting you can ensure only 1-2 enemy troops are in actual base contact with him, thus helping keep him alive.
I also enjoy outflanking the Scorps in a Wave Serpent!
Indeed Karandras has been getting a lot of use lately, and I love it!

At the beginning of turn 1, I spray my opponent's army with the bacon flavored spray. Then I unleash my Boston Terrier Squiggoth who then devours their entire bacon flavored army! There is no defense against her cuteness! All are doomed!
Only times I really use him is in apocalypse as part of the Phoenix Court of Khaine. Every now and then my store does Apoc games where each player brings 2000 pts. It's a lot of fun to just bring 10 HQs and have that be your army.
That said I haven't really been able to find a place for him in my regular games. Can't really find a place for any of the PLs really, which is a shame, cause they can be a lot of fun, but the lack of an invul really hurts them.
The enemy's gate is down
About the only exception would be with squads of something, where you can limit the attacks coming at him via the base two base rules.
