I was going to buy 2 more full squads of crisis battlesuits. I was wondering what combo of weapons and upgrades you think is best on a battlesuit? Help would be appreciated.

The majority of people will probably say the same thing: Plasma rifle, missile pod, multi tracker. This is a good all around combo but I prefer to have TL weapons since the tau BS is just average.

Thats what I was going to have on 2 of the crisis battle suits in each squad and probably have one with a fusion blaster, a flamer, and a drone controller.

Flamers are generally a bad idea since you don't want to get your suits close enough to use them or they will be in close combat very quickly. With the suits BS it is not a good idea to rely on a 1 shot weapon like a fusion blaster without twin linking it. Just a note on modeling, don't glue the weapons on, they will stay just fine without any. This way you can interchange them as you want.

I would give a flamer to at least one of the squads. Cause what happens if a tyranid decides to run up to a battle suit and ask for a cup of tea?

Dont worry I never glue the weapons of my crisis battlesuit so I can change them every battle depending on what army I'm against.

Trust me you wouldn't get much of a chance to fire the thing , its only 9' long even a spineagant can assult a min of 13'. Six inch move, fleet of claw 1-6 say 1' then assult 6' max would be 18' if the dice gods are smilling on you. As for gaunts min 19' max 24'. even if you jumped forward your 6 inches you would only toast a few, best bet is to keep your distance or your bio mass will be consumed

I think that plasma rifles always no matter what. If your taking on tanky armys then go with fusion blasters. All you have to do is DS them and then use fusion blasters on his tank. If your facing nids or orks then use flamers or burstcannon. Missle pod u use when your facing sm and your not DS your crisis then you use missle pod on his troops. But when you use missle pod give the whole squad missle pods so u can get lots of shots
Hi.............

Nope, you don't need to use anything at all. The guns stay in place failry well without anything to hold them in, especially if there is some paint in the groove for friction.
