This weekend I have a small clubtournament coming up, and I want to use some things I haven't used before.
I want to include grotesques and haywire blasters.
Now, my fist question concerns the grotesques.
Grotesques seem to have only one close combat weapon. And one can exchange one grotesques' close combat weapon for a liquifier gun. Now, does this have any implications in the close combat phase? Or does the grotesque in question just uses his gun in close combat?
My second question is about the haywire blaster.Especially the part "roll its effects as normal" bothers me. Or am I reading too much here. And do I just, after a succesful hit of course, roll a D6 to determin the result (nothing/glancing/penetrating).If a Haywire blaster hits a vehicle, resolve its effects as normal. Then rol a further D6. On a 1, nothing[...] (p.58 DE codex)
Haywire Blaster- Remember its S4 so you can glance vehicles like any bolter in addition to its special ability to glance/pen anything so for Vehicles with 10 or < thats the "roll its effects as normal"
Thanks for the reply.
And just to make sure I've got it right with the Haywire blaster. Apologies, I just don't seem to grasp the logic here.
1) rolls to hit
2) S4 + D6 AP
3) D6 (1 = nothing happens, 2 = glancing, 3 = penetrating)
Does that mean one has the potential of scoring two glancing hits for examples against Armour 10 vehicles (S4 + 6 AP, and extra D6 roll)?
Also, does this mean that against vehicles with 11+ Armour one doesn't have to roll the D6 AP?
The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. Bring them understanding of the power of ourselves through our strength and their fear. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all fragments will be smashed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be consumed
Wow, didn't realize this - glad I read this post!
