Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm debating on what combination of heavy support to run and the loadouts that work for them. Mostly I'm concerned with the ravager, razorwing, and voidraven. I know most of you have used triple ravagers, but what about the other two? Who has had success with our aircraft?
I'm a great fan of either the Razorwing or the Voidraven each with 4 Necrotoxin missilies. If you are fighting a lot of vehicles, keep them in reserve and wyhen they come on, target a non-vehicle unit, let them have all 4 missilise and wave that unit goodbye!
If you're not fighting loads of vehicles, start with them and again choose one enemy unit to wipe from the board. :-)
depending on the point level i run a mix between razorwing jetfighters and ravager (typically 1 till 1500 then more after that). they are incredibly mean, last game i played with it it single handedly took out about 300pts worth of models and then tank shocked a squad of an objective out into the open where they got shot up
I still prefer 3 talos to the ravagers and I haven't tried the other two jets yet that I have no way to proxy. Untilt that model comes out I am going to wait so I'd be interested in hearing how people like the jets too.
"On a hunch, I melted them down and inhaled the fumes and read the dark eldar codex again, AND FOUND A BUNCH OF NEW RULES HIDDEN BEHIND THE OTHER WORDS..." [Gardeth on modelling & interpreting the DE Codex]
KwiKwag, well good news the official model for the razorwing jetfighter is coming out. I have played with a converted one and its ability to smash infantry is pretty good. Honestly for the razorwing you don't need the necrotoxin missles. The monoscythe it comes with are amazing. Slap a flickerfield, splinter cannon, and some people have reported that taking dissies isn't a bad option either ( <--- some people swear by it and some think they are crap).
My only concern for the official model is that I think it comes on the big stormraven stand. If that's the case it's going to stand out like a sore thumb. Granted you can always keep it in reserve for a fat ALPHA STRIKE! But after that its prolly gonna get shot to shit .
n00b Ork and DE player.
why not have it sit in a corner and give it nightsheilds, at least that way it cant rly get shot as often.
I think I was looking at Razorwings the wrong way: I evaluated their potential to stay on the board but like all the rest of our army, they focus on removing the enemy.
My experience lies only with Ravagers and Taloi, since I don't have anything to proxy with.
I would like to point out that you can't tank shock with a vehicle without it being a tank (or having a special upgrade like a Shock Prow).
