New to 40k & looking for any advice on painting dark eldar
Are there any threads i have missed & yep i know i picked the most difficult army to choose as my first ever project but having read the codex the army seemed too cool to not start.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Apologies slow internet & somehow it posted 3 times
Well. Before we can actually help you, you gotta give us something more to go on. What colors do you prefer? Would you like to go with a subtle, low-contrast theme, similar to most Dark Eldar models in the Codex or do you prefer a very high-contrast in-your-face theme, Ala Phil Kelly's Dark eldar?
I usually always prefer high-contrast themes, as I really like the punch it has on the battlefield. However, for my Dark Eldar this time around, I am going with a slightly more subtle theme. Tell us what you like and we'll be able to help you more. Also, welcome to the hobby and the true kin!

"I have seen you humans, trying to forge an Empire in the name of a corpse"
Necrontyr tyfor quick response.
If i'm honest already picked me main colours. My troop of wyches (all female) are purple body armour & me warriors (all male) blue. Was really looking to see if there was a gallery on the forum to get ideas for the detailing i.e. the backpacks, helmets, hair, etc. There obviously are ideas in the codex but not seen anything that has jumped out at me yet.
As for doing a Phil Kelly will wait until i have enough experience using my army before i have such an in your face army. (Although my scourges have arrived today so might have a go)
