Farsight and his enclave are outcast, the Chapter Approved Kroot Mercs are kept secret from the rest of the Tau empire due to the Tau insistence that they fight exclusively with them which would eventualy lead to the Kroot stagnating.
I know its a stretch, but would you allow it? After all, you have two outcast forces just sitting around in the same area of space just looking at each other, and one race depends entirely on hiring itself out as mercs in order to survive.

I'd say it's higly likely. In fact Farsight probably has to resort to hiring Kroot mercenaries.Seeing as how he's at odds with the ethereals they probably don't send him any reinforcements, not even Kroot, so he's on his own when it comes to finding new troops.
I would second that. I doubt the the ethereals would even look or speak or send an e-mail to him... lol well I think if you wanted to be a very realistic Farsight army you would definitly need about 50%+ kroot. Cause other wise he wouldn't be able to have much of an army at all cause I doubt anyone will just say:
"hey commander farsight... I just left my old army that has lots of shinny shooty railguns and battle suits so I could come to your all firewarrior/kroot army."

I'm am going to have to say no Fluff-wise, game-balance and rules-wise.
The reason the Kroot hire themselves out is because they are looking to engage and assume the traits of races beyond what the Tau normally fight. So why would they bother to sneak around behind their Tau masters to fight for more Tau. That would not expand their genetic pool, so their is no benefit, and it would be detrimental to their sense of honor, and dangerous if it was ever found out.
Farsight is specifically forbidden from employing Kroot as a mechanism for leveling his increases to combat for Tau soldiers. Further, regular Tau are forbidden from using merc kroot because that army would combine excessive firepower with modest close combat forces. Its there for a reason.
Rules-wise, Gamesworkshop has made a point to specifically exlcude farsight from the use of kroot mercenaries in FAQs, so I would not allow someone to play that style army.
1. The Rules say NO.
2. According to Fluff, The Tau Ethereals have banned entrance to the Damoclese Gulf, so, I would imagine they would stop Kroot Warspheres from entering, so, again, NO.
well, if you think about it in terms of money. Kroot are mercinaries, they work for the $bling$ do you think that farsight, as cut off from the tau empire as he is has enough money to cover the cost of a kroot add on, when he's probably stressing over the repair costs of his current army?
