I wasn't sure weither I should put this here or in the painting section, but if a mod could move this if I'm wrong?
Has anyone ever used Testors Metalizer for their necrons? I was thinking a chaos black basecoat, followed by coat (probably airbrushed on) of testors metalizer (Stainless Steel or Titanium), would be a pretty quick and effective look for necrons. Of course, eyes and other details would have to be picked out in other colors, but to get the army painted quick? Has anyone tried this or have any thoughts on it?
Tau Empire: We never stop hiding from you
I've used the testors gold. Worked well for what I was using it for. Might work with crons.
I have found a good 'base' to work from is a light coating of flat black and a dusting of Chrome. It gives the metallic look and some relief from the crevasses. After that, anything is possible - a lot of the washes let the chrome show through and I have an entire army that looks 'rusty' and very old.
The only 'fresh' looking aspect to my entire force is the flesh on my FO's.
I am interested to see how the Metalizer does compared to my present technique.
