Welcome to Librarium Online!
So I have been wondering on how everyone else feels about our stealth suits and how you all use them. What I do use them as a small strike team and outflank onto my enemy trying to hurt them so that they focus on the stealth team, so basically a big distraction. Or I give them markerdrones and the squad leader a markerlight just so then I can have that extra help from other units, so basically a support role.So please tell me how you feel about and use our second elite choice.

Honestly, for the time being I have pretty much shelved the stealth suits. I usually have the room for 3 death rain/fire knives squads in a 1500 + point game. Quite frankly, in games less than 1500 your stealth suits are probably still too pricey. Don't get me wrong they are a decent enough unit, the crisis suits are just better.
Tau my love! You are back!
Stealth suits do nothing useful that you can't do just as well with other units. You cannot afford to give up any slots to Stealth suits because Crisis suits are absolutely, critically vital. Do what kzqq and I do: shelve your Stealths and let them gather dust. Sad, I agree, but necessary.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

I used Stealths quite heavily before 5th edition 40K but there is simply no place for them now. They don't even get to go first in CC anymore and the sheer speed of 5th makes it extremely hard to keep the distance needed to make the Stealth field effective. The markerlight option is to expensive and the Stealth field bonus does not work as well as it used to, ML's can be taken in more efficient, cost effective ways anyway.
The Fusion option simply does not work that well, if you are going to pop a vehicle at such close range you need to ensure that any passengers are destroyed or reduced to such an extent that they are not a threat and that is very hard to do. Essentially you may well pop a vehicle but you will more than likely lose an expensive unit in the opponents turn.
Tau need massively accurate massed fire power, delivered as quickly as possible (turns 1 and 2) and the only reliable way to do this is with the XV8 units. Taking Stealth's reduces the number of XV8's you can take and that is a recipe for one thing and one thing only "losses".
I have considered converting my Stealth's into ultra elite XV8 units because unless the new codex makes them radically improved I can see no place for them as Stealth's in a Tau army.
In a big enough game, I sometimes take a stealth horde in one of my elites slots...six suits, two marker drones, and ten gun drones...and deepstrike them...it's expensive as hell, but it's a chainsaw massacre against GEQs, does okay against MEQs, forces the enemy to divert a lot of attention away from my main force, and is a helluva lotta fun, to boot. It's dramatically better than three crisis suits...but it's so expensive that you can't afford it under the 3k point level. And even then only in fun games.
