Im considering in using them in an 1850 list, but are they competitive? Im thinking a 10 man unit with spiritseer, conceal, and with a farseer with fortune only. Though to do it i would have a take a DA squad out of a WS.
Here is the list i guess to get an idea what im thinking
Autarch pw mb
10 DA in WS
10 DA footslogging
Falcon ML Stone HF
6 dragons inside
3x war walkers scatterlazers
1 wraithlord ml ws
10 scorpion PC stalker, shadowstrike
Also a question do maniblasters just give the autarch another power weapon attack?
As much as i love the idea of wraithguard, i just haven't been able to make them work as well as I'd like. Due to their short range weapons and lack of transport at that size, they are easy to avoid. They are just not really very effective. I use them in Apoc when pts are less of an issue, but even then they rarely impress.

This. They're pretty much just not good. They are too slow to be able to close in on the enemy fast enough (here is where not being able to have a full squad in a Wave Serpent really hurts) and that combined with such a short range makes them more or less unplayable. Plus they're a ton of points, and cost loads money-wise.They are just not really very effective.
As to your question about mandiblasters, yes, all they do is simply give the model +1 Attack. It isn't a separate attack or different in any way, just one more of exactly the same kind of attacks the model already has.
