Hey guys,I'm starting my orks list and I wanted to put a feral twist to it. Would using boarboyz as bikers or sqiggoths as battle wagons be legal or do you think it would be a disqualifying issue
Both should be fine, so long as they are modelled with similar weapon sets, and they are roughly the same size (base, height) as the official model they represent. Boarboyz should be a near exact fit for bikes (I've considered converting my own BBs this way but jsut don't play Orks regularly enough to go ahead with it just yet) and the Squiggoth should be ok considering there's a huge variation in BWs anyway.
Have fun, and remember to post some pics !!
There are three types of people in this world -- those who can count, and those who cannot.
I would use the new big ogre monsters for BW and trucks rather than squigoths
I'm actually using an Arcknorak Spider from Fantasy as a battlewagon for feral orks/evil sunz. I really like the model and it seems better than the Orge monsters as it has that big thorax to use and the wood platforms help. Just adding weapons and spiky bits to make it for 40k looking. But I have seen boarboys used as bikers so go for it, just remember to represent the dakka gun AND the weapons the ork has.
Repainting Orks not sure how many points yet
Warriors of Chaos shelved until further notice
