Welcome to Librarium Online!
Just a quick qusetion regarding the wargear for vehicles, i know the sensor spines go on the front (they are in the codex), but there is also the targetting array, multi-tracker, disruption pods, flachette launchers etc.
In one picture in the codex the have an aireal thing next to the cockpit and in another its on the back.
Are there any models\parts for all the wargear or do we even have to represent it on the model?
I know that FW makes the flachette discharger pods, but they're not to impressive looking.
Some wargear just doesn't have a physical representation such as the blacksun filter and M. Tracker. I've always just assumed them to be small upgrades therefore not requiring a bit for it.
Thanks, A friend asked me a few times when we are playing what the vehicles have, and i tell him DP, MT, FD, TL and he is like "Where?" and i wasnt really sure how to answer that.
Ask him where SM granades are?? (they are meant to be in the little bag they have.
If you playing with a friend he is being very picky.
The FD is about the only one i would consider putting on but i would just say they are in the body of the vehical myself.
TBH i think your friend is being a bit of a fool, its not like you saying you have a railgun on there when you really have nothing.
Tau: 6K - W17-D3-L4, Orks: 4K - W9-D0-L2, SM: 7K - W7-D3-L4,CSM: 4K W5-D1-L1, Nids: 3.2K W3-D0-L2
Apoc games (mixture of armies used): W5-D0-L1
If he does it again just go over his army with the armylist in hand and pickout everything that he hasn't modelled onto it. GW does not provide most of the wargear options as model parts for the vehicles, so you don't have to show them.
LoL thanks guys, my friend isnt that anal about things, its only because with tau you get "Oh yeah this tank has TA,MT, TL, FD, LG," and there is NOTHING on the model.
I play marines and orks as well so in know its pretty standard to have things like grenades not modeled, but this is a lot of wargear.
I just wasnt sure, does this also apply to the suits gear, like Stimulant Injectors etc?
Yes. Some things for suits are considered hardwired upgrades or simple tech upgrades that do not need to be shown. Stimulant injector is a prime example of such. But the bonding knife for suits mentions it should be either a paint or decal symbol to show for the upgrade. But I would never take a bonding knife anyways so it doesn't matter.
You could always point to the little "bubbles" on the hull and say: "See these? Disruption pods." And you could point to the little lenses on the underturret and say: "See this? Targeting array." And so on. When no official bit exists, WYSIWYG becomes quite fluid....
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
