Welcome to Librarium Online!
some facts taken form the new WD issue
the doomsday barges main cannon packs a hefty bang
72" range str 9 / 1 5" blast when not moving
24" range str 7 / 4 3" blast when moving
in additon to 2 gun phalanxes on the sides that can fire "broadsides" on different targets.
WBB roll is still in (5+)
dispersion shields can deflect incoming fire on enemy models
necron warriors have an armor save of 4+ the larger elite models 3+
flayed ones are desrcibed as insane and despised even by other necrons
Destroyers are also described as insane and as jumptroops (which i find a bit odd maybe a typo?)
Preatorians are also jump troops
The Necrons rebelled against the C'Tan and destroyed/imprisoned them before they went to sleep
Some Necron dynasties are just defending their tomb worlds while others are actively expanding
Something not right. Can I just ask how you know about this? And what do you mean "insane", fluff wise or is it a special rule?
One shall stand, and one shall fall.
well, I read the november issue of the WD (like I said in the topic),
regarding the insane part I think its probably fluff, just an example how the necrons now seem more "humane" than before less of an ancient evil ruled by the C'tan and more of an ancient civilisation who once ruled the galaxy and now plan to do so again.
Ive also seen the WD before its release tomorrow, local store owner did the sneaky and showed us the new necrons....warriors, monoliths, destroyers seem to be not changing as discussed in other posts. and immortals/sniper dudes (cant remember name) come in one box of 5. doomsday ark/transport, command barge/other barge (also cant remember name) come in a box, lych gurad/praetorians come in a box from what i recall. all these boxes are $55aud each.
i know its not very ground breaking in the form of what im telling and that everyone will found out when the WD is released but yea, AWESOMENESS.
Models are UP on the GW site!
I know everyone hates "bandwagoners" but I'm getting pretty excited about the new Necrons, more than Grey Knights when they came out, and would love to start a new army if I wasn't getting my Space Wolves off the ground. By the time I've got them finished the newness might die down and people will be selling their stuff to move on to the next big thing and I might be able to get in to them. In the mean time I'm looking forward to what everyone else does with them, lists and schemes and everything else. Might pick up the codex when it comes out.
I've only ever had 2 armies not counting Wolves. I've played Eldar for 3rd and 5th and had a Chaos Marines army as my first army in 3rd. Took a break from 4th through the beginning of 5th though.
well i've got the codex, command barge and Trazyn the Infinite on advance order
i'm hopping to sell my 1st army for about £100 to a friend in the local club so i can give another guy it so he can put an order with wayland for 2 lychguard, 1 deathgaurd and 2 barges
this with my current 30 warriors, nightbringer, 5 destroyers, destroyer lord, 10 scarabs, 2 wraiths and 7 immortals. I'll have a nice army of around 3000 points, not as much as what my current army is which is chaos which is about 4000 points but still cant wait,
my current colour scheme is all black with boltgun metal on the joints and the back with green eyes and red highlights and 3 different colour rods for my warriors with corrispoding weapon colours of red, blue and green
The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving.
