Ok I have heard of and personally read the new Necrons Codex and I am trying to find ways to counter their tactics. There are some things that I find pretty hard to counter with that would probably ruin our strategies.
One character (Immotekh the Stormlord) can bring the Nightfighting into the game every turn. This is how it works and the start of the Necrons player turn he rolls a dice and if the result is equall or higher that the number of the game turn Nightfighting continious. The thing is that we are a shooting army and this ability can wreck our tanks effectiveness.
Also and another character is able to take control of an enemy battle tank on a roll of 3+. Do you think that this is gonna hurt? Keep in mind that he cannot alter his battleposition.
Scarabs are pretty nasty in this new edition what do we have to counter them before they blow our skimmers apart?
Any good way to counter their tactics? Or any other issue that you want to be discussed would be welcome.
The only real way to counter our nastiest tricks really just involves killing the character involved. So if it's Anrakyr the traveller, Imotekh, or Nemesor Zahndrekh you need to hope they are on a command barge so you can shoot it down and then shoot the character that was riding it. That would probably be the quickest way to be rid of them.
A lot of our other nasty tricks come from our crypteks though, and once those get attached to squads they act just like squad upgrades and can't be picked out with shooting or assault.
Unfortunately most of it isn't counterable like psychic powers or something where you can take a defense to try to nullify it. Like I said, you really just need to kill whatever is causing the effect
