I havent been able to verify it yet but my FLGS told me that Snikrots ambush ability will work for characters. *So that opens up the possibility of Thraka or a normal warboss joining a maxed out unit of kommandos with *Snikrot and some burnas coming in on the back table edge. If you really wanted to get crazy add the mad doc to that unit for cybork bodies and feel no pain. *I know it's a Horrible points sink but I it would be worth it just to see the look on your opponents face.

Sounds interesting, I got a bunch of Kommando's with Snikrot for Christmas.
I'd also like to say hello for the first time here, I found this website when looking for some hobby advice and this one stood out, especially the better off with Grots guide. Thanks for making a big impression on me, I hope I can receive and give some valuable advice here.
Its in the Ork FAQ, it states that you can put a warboss on a bike in a squad with snikrot and bring him on from wherever.
I did it in a massive game (but not apoc, 5 players each side with 1500 points i think) once with Ghaz and killed a squad of blood angels with captain and priest, then killed a land raider that was holding the objective of the game. They then got slaughtered by the grey night temis + wolf lord that were sitting in the land raider. Overall Ghaz coming in from the rear won the battle for us.
I hadn't thought about the warboss on a bike . He might be better than the other HQ choices just because he will draw more shooting and have the greatest threat range.
Epic preportions of chedder cheese my good man but no one is expecting that i have not even thought of doing that myself.
I have played several games play testing the different HQ units and the one I have had the most fun with and generally greater success with is 15 kommandos , Snikrot, 2 burnas, cybork and Grotsnik. *This gives you 12 +5 inv, fearless, FNP, orks with 4 attacks on the charge not to mention the burnas, Snikrot and Grotsnik. *Huge points sink (500pts) but hard hitting, durable and loads of fun. Although I did have a GK player of all people cry cheese. * * * * *(the nerve)
Questions regarding Slow and Purposeful vs Move through Cover:
With a MA Warboss or Ghaz, the Unit moves at the speed of the slowest person. Therefore the Unit is treated as moving through difficult terrain. Now that the Unit is moving through difficult terrain all the time, does the Kommandos rule of Move through Cover allow the Unit to use three D6 dice instead of TWO D6 dice?
Its a big deal to try and get that 5 or 6when you are trying to move on from the edge, shoot, assault etc etc.
Any thoughts would be great!
Towers you are absolutely right! So I will use that 3xD6 during movements and for assaults then for the entire squad!
