Welcome to Librarium Online!
Just to let you guys know this weapon is getting an update and will now be S7
Also eldar are going to be awesome in the next eddition as most weapons will be hitting us on 6's
All i can say is roll on 6th eddition
So you read the leaked rules too, ehh? I'm pretty excited by a lot of the stuff in there too, especially the fact that the rules in general are getting a bit more complex, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.
That thing could be the real deal, or it could be a huge fake. I'd rather not get too excited before we find out.
That being said, I'm not too excited about the Starcannon either way. I hardly take the things as it is, and I always figured it was designed to take down MEQs and TEQs, which it does admirably. S7 might help it against lighter vehicles, but will do nothing to fill it's primary role (IMO) of killing heavy infantry.
well atm we dont have much other than the pulse laser to take out AV12 vehicles
can you imagine a falcon with this, it can take out both AV12 vehicles and terminators
The only thing i dont like is the targeting sensor as it looks as though out vehilces can only fire 2 shots at the most which is kind of lame
Also i doubt its a fake, who cld be bothered to type all that up, however i am sure there will be a few mistakes in it
It seems that my Saim-Hann list will gt a lot buffed from this edition. And actually every jetbiked list will do the same.

Do any of you guys understand the multi-tracking thing
From what i can see, 90% of the time you only get to fire 1 weapon unless stationary in which case its 2 and all defensive weapons have gone
Hmm does this mean that the falcon/predator/land raider etc have redundant weapons has they can only ever fire 2?
Just stick to the old system of stationary=all weapons, 6"move=1 weapon + defensive weapons, 12"=0 weapons
Edit: just looked at our codex and the wave serpants etc are callsed as skimmers, tanks and fast so we get Multi-tracking (2) meaning we can move 6 or 8"? and shoot 4 weapons, not that we will ever have 4 weapons to shoot :p

As for the rules, I didn't get to read them myself but read a summerised version that someone bothered to write up. There is a lot of interesting stuff in their. I think from first looks it basically means that the rules are fair for everyone. Marines suffer in one area but get benifits in others. The only thing I'm not so sure on is the Assaulting before shooting. I can see reasons for it based on the rules, Shooting has become a lot more lethal, but Armies like Eldar who like to whittle MEQ squads down before assaulting them will suffer a bit.
Also Dark reapers might actually be able to kill things in cover since the average cover save has dropped from 4 to 5. Still We have no idea how our new codex is going to come out either. If its going to be made during 6th edition who knows whats going to come out of it if these rules are true.
apparently these rules are fake
well according to GW anyway so they cld just be trying to cover it up a bit but who knows
IMO these are probably the very early rules they may have tested as some of this makes sense and other parts dont
(not being able to assault a flyer makes sense, a guy pointing at a flyer and saying "shoot it" makes it easier to shoot down doesnt make any sense)
Also the whole assaulting b4 shooting will make flamers and things useless as you want to whittle the guys down b4 assaulting them
But i think we can see where GW want this edition to go, up 2 the skies, with flyers becoming dominant as well as shooting becoming more effective
The only reason i doubt the "up 2 the skies" is because its one of the few mechanics that seperates apocolypse rules from regular rules aside from large templates. If they do add fliers to the regular game i sure hope that they are in a limited capacity otherwise you'll see way too many list worrying about AA and i just think that'll take away from the skirmish style play of the <3000 point games
Yes as in the book.
And get dem Dragons out of dem Falcons! Downright embarisin sometimes.
Eldar bikes are pretty awesome when you just look at the bike. Their down fall is that it is only guardians riding them. I use a squad of 6 with a warlock and that are a game changer for me. They come out of nowhere take an objective and disappear at the first sign of trouble. If those guys were BS 4 they would be crazy good, almost over powered.
(On a sad note, Shining Spears suck. They do to little for their points and they are a fast attack.)
Army's used: Space Wolves, Tomb Kings, High Elves, Tyranids, Tau and Eldar.
