I have a question, regarding what is most popular amongst the upgrade you can give the the nids' grunt and shock troops, namely genestealers, warriors (if cc built) hormagaunts and gargoyles.
typicall when fielding the above i use:
stealers + toxin,
warriors + ag,
hormagaunts, both or neither
gargoyles, again both or neither.
I'm just wondering (since im expecting to face DE in an upcoming tourney, would AG serve the stealers better than toxin? (i dont have points spare to do both) What do you all think on this?
Stealers - Nothing or just Toxin
Warriors - Nothing
Hormagaunts - Toxin always, never adrenal
Gargoyles - Always both
I tend to run:
Stealers - toxin (rending on rerolls to wound is awesome)
Warriors - toxin (rerolls for power weapons are nice)
Hormagaunts - toxin & adrenal (typically getting rerolls to woudn on the charge, makes a big difference)
Gargoyles - both (same reason as hormagaunts)
Stealers - Never adrenal, it offers them nothing. Toxin or nothing, mostly toxin.
Warriors -If with rending claws, toxin sacs. If not with rending claws, adrenal glands.
Hormaguants - Always toxin, sometimes adrenal. Never just adrenal.
Gargoyles - Both. Too cheap not to.
