Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hey Guys! I dotr normall play many games with looted vehicles but Im playing a Space wolves player who prefers Blood Claws and Skyclaws over Grey hunters for there upclose ferocity. Ive played him before and his ten man skyclaws with power fist, melta gun, mark of wulfen and a wolf priest are just beasts at upclose, especially with his "hide behind rhinos then kill" tactic.
Now they do have only a save of 3+ and I was wondering if getting 2 looted wagons with their Big Gun thing wud work well at subduing them ( AP 3, STR 8, Big Explosion Template). This shud take care of them, and with two im sure i will get at least one hit before he gets to my ppl (plus these hits are effective at his other Blood Claws and Rhinos )
What Are Your THOUGHTS and IDEAS???
I will tell you guys how the match went and how effective this worked out for me maybe even like half a battle report
im all for them its a no brainer if hes using large squads of CC type marines thats if you dont press that red button and your shots dont scatter to much wich they tend to do.
they're also great fire magnets, letting your boyz reach the enemy relatively unharmed.

Pie plates are cool. I shelved mine for now though in exchange for Kans. Once the green wave hits my looted vehicles seem kind of useless.
I originally made one up, but it just never worked out in the few games I played with it. It either needs to be in range of the KFF or kept hull down somewhere. AV11 does not last long against most armies.
That said, I am considering cracking it out again.
Typically they are really not worth it.. unless you really want to troll your opponent seeing as they do not have a defined model you can make some pretty derpy creations.. If you want to see a look of hate and disgust on your opponents face as your tanks gets cover from the grot standing in-front of it take looted tanks.. otherwise you should prolly go with something else..
I run used to run one a lot, then took it out, and then added to it again. It is kinda cheap compared to other Heavy support choices. I make sure to hide mine so it gets that 4+ cover save and behind a terrain piece to make sure it doesn't go that far if I should roll a 1 for Don't press Dat. I regularly play SM, CSM and an almost horde IG player. So the pie plate comes in handy. After popping a Rhino and 9-10 marines get out, I have sometimes wipe out the whole unit with one shot.
If he slogs his marines then I think you should take 1-2 if he keeps a majority in Rhino/Razors then probably just take one. They can do well if you protect them, just keep it further back as the guns range is pretty long and the AV is low.

I usually play my looted wagon to work together with a unit of lootas, the lootas popping a transport and then the Looted Wagon damaging or destroying the infantry that is left disembarked.
Thats funny because I was playing a match against a similiar Space Puppy player. He had a ten man Skyclaws with a Priest allowing him to be controlled shoot + attack which was a killer. We were going to play the three matches but ill only say how the first went. He also had a squad of blood claws in a rhino but other than that he had Grey hunters. It was a 1250 point game and we set up. I put one Looted Wagon in each corner and waited. The first turn nothing happened but the second he tried to charge my squad of 20 shootas who were running for a capture point. He didnt quite make it but took a few down with guns. My first one shot and missed but my second shot and hit 7 of them killing all of them. The look on his face so much LULZ from me.
My looted wagons ended up taking out a rhino of grey hunters going for a late game grab and take out a few more blood claws. They easily made up their points and i won the game easily. But in a tournament i wouldnt rely on them as mine did go out of control straight forwards twice during the game, once when i had a really good chance to take a 5 survivors.
