if he is fleeing and being per sued by an enemy within 6, can he use his mantle to move elsewhere?
also if a lord and overlord where part of a unit, lost combat and the whole unit was wiped out but those two remained alive but started to flee,
1. would they both count as separate units/characters?
2.would they continue to flee?
3.if they count as part of the unit, does that mean the unit that got wiped out, could get back up? ( it was 5 lychegaurd) if i had past the morale check.
i was playing a game and had a rhino within 6 of me after this scenario and thus made both of them run off the board. to me it makes no sense why they'd run away from a brick though.
1. As the characters were part of the unit, even though the unit they were attached to is gone, they are still considered part of that unit.
2. They would continue to run as you had failed a morale or leadership test and could not rally due to an enemy unit within 6".
3. Even though the characters survived, Reanimation Protocols states that in the event a unit with characters is wiped out, the surviving characters presence is NOT enough to allow a Reanimation roll.
I.e. You would have needed at at least ONE Lychguard to have survived and NOT failed the morale/leadership test to get their Reanimation roll in the example you provided.
The Necron codex does not specify what happens in this situation so you have to revert to the main rulebook. As the unit is below 50% (only the lord survived...and is not an IC), you may not attempt to regroup. The Lord and Overlord will keep fleeing until they are off the table.2.would they continue to flee?No as the necron codex states that characters do not count for the purposes of Reanimation Protocols.3.if they count as part of the unit, does that mean the unit that got wiped out, could get back up? ( it was 5 lychegaurd) if i had past the morale check.Rules are rules. No chance to regroup so they run away. And as I said, even if the Rhino was not there you would not have been able to regroup as the unit was below 50%. Both the Lord and Overlord where toast anyway.i was playing a game and had a rhino within 6 of me after this scenario and thus made both of them run off the board. to me it makes no sense why they'd run away from a brick though.
In regards to Obyron's Mantle, as he was already fleeing, he could take no voluntary action beyond his fall back move and shooting. As he obviously has no shooting weapons, this is irrelevant.
cheers guys for your knowledge!
