Welcome to Librarium Online!
So i have decided to post a thread that shows off my converted Nids.
the ones i have to offer are:
Old One Eye
Heirogant (my own creation)
I apolagise for the quality of some of the photos.
None of these have been painted yet, partly so as you can see what materials i used but mostly because i have a huge backlog of unpainted models.
First of all, lets start with my least favourite. The Heirogant.
now this one isnt really much of a conversion as i have just modified the Chapterhouse Studios Tervigon slightly so lets get it out the way shall we.
ok, so here we have a head shot of the Heirogant
here we have a side torso shot.
Ok now onto my "True Swarmlord" (called so because its more inkeeping with the codex picture)
as you can see, first modification, the mandibles
and here from another angle.
here is a full body shot where you can kind of see the twin tail and dynamic pose
and here is a better shot of the tail.
Here is a shot of my Winged Tyrant (originally my Swarmlord)
Here is a shot of Old One Eye's "good side"
Here is a side shot
Here is the messed up side of his face
Here is a side head shot of my Harpy
Here is a side shot of my Harpy, with those sexy Heavy Venom Cannons
Here is a shot of the Harpy's leg stumps
Here is an action shot of the Harpy (note, the blacked out bits are to avoid possible Copyright stuff)P3050334.jpg
Here is a sort of side shot of the Mycetic Spore
and a full side shot
and a shot of the top vent
and a shot of the back
and a shot from the other side
and a full frontal shot of the Ripper Tentacles
and another side shot...
and finally...well just look at it.
Please feel free to comment, leave feedback and or ask any questions you may have

Great work mate. ++Rep.
May you please enlighten me on how you did the Harpy and the Mycetic Spore? I really love those conversions and if you're willing to share how you did them then I would be very grateful
Well first of all thank you ;D
as for the Harpy its really easy and i required no green stuff to make it.
first of all, assemble the new flying tyrant pose without the legs.
then for the head i used one of the Swarmlord Bonesabres to make the crest and used the smallest pair of mandibles left over from my spare Tervigon head (i got 2 kits to make a tyrannofex aswell)
then i got the flying tyrant legs and cut them off at the ankles and with a bit of cutting and fileing i fixed them onto where the leg sockets are and the plastic glue filled the gaps.
then for the arms i got the twin linked Devourers from the carnifex kit and cut the barrell off at the point just after the first little hooked claw thing underneath.
then i got the 2 Heavy Venom Cannons from the new tyrant kits and cut them off just at the start of the barell and then fixed them onto the devourer arms.
Jobs a good un!
As for the Mycetic Spore that was really just improvised.
i had a spare Tervigon birthing sac so i started there, then i used my spare carnifex plates (the ones from down the middle of its back) and attatched them to the sac where the hole in the top is
then i added the 3 acid spray gun pieces to it to form the 3 bits on top and those bits on the sides and back
then i added various ammo feeder sacs from things like stranglethorn cannons to various places and added a barbed strangler (ok i know its a stranglethorn cannon but its a proxy) to the front on the armour plates.
for the Ripper tentacles i made them using various ammo feeder tubes/ tentacled appendages and replaced the ends with the small thumb claws from larger scything talons and placed them in the birthing port of the sack as that represents the pods maw and just like all nids it has 6 limbs. (note:, i removed the bits of things already sticking out of the maw first)
then finally i went over the whole thing and filled all the gaps with Green stuff and crafted the exhaust vent and molded it onto the base (i had already clued it on but it did not look right so i filled the bottom gaps in with green stuff to make it look like it was growing over the floor.
and there you go, hope it helps

Awesome, awesome, AWESOME!
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
RIP Warhammer 40,000: 21 Sep 1998 - 24 May 2014
First Great Job.Second, I think you missed all the other logos like Xbox...(note, the blacked out bits are to avoid possible Copyright stuff)
Army's used: Space Wolves, Tomb Kings, High Elves, Tyranids, Tau and Eldar.
suppose but the 360 logos are always either too blurred or obscured to worry about but anyway i digress.
but thanks for the support
Sweet looking conversions mate.
that spore is amazing
If he persists, put a metal dreadnought in a sock and hit him once with it. Keep it within reach during your next game.
Those look great, the only thing that turns me a little bit off is the weapon protruding from the mycetic spore.
If i were to vote the best one, that would have to be the swarmlord.
Praise be to the Emperor!!
The gun on the Mycetic spore does look a bit awkward but it was a case of, where the hell do i put it and that seemed like the best and only place. the ammount of Green Stuff it took to make was way more than i would have liked but i still have more than enough for my upcoming Chaos Daemon conversion projects (Tzeentchifying a Daemon Prince and turning a Ghorgon/Cygor into a Keeper of Secrets)
as for the Swarmlord, that was by far the simplest conversion out of all of them *puts on philisophical specs of wisdom*
I suppose in its simplicity lies the true beauty of the conversion...indeed.
WOW its been a while since i was last here...well this thread is not quite dead yet because oh boy do i have a treat for all you nid conversion enthusiasts out there.
check back tomorrow evening...
or not...your choice
