How Effective is an army with just immortals as the core, no warriors? The models are so much better .
Both of our troop choices are solid: Warriors are effectively MEQ at a huge discount, and Immortals are (almost) effectively TEQ at an even greater discount! I say effectively because AP 4 and AP 3 skew their survivability (respectively), and for the latter I say almost because TEQ are technically 1/18 (5.55%) more durable. Neither pack the versatility that MEQ and TEQ typically have access to, but that's why we have Lords, Crypteks, and the rest of our army!
There's no reason why all Immortals for troops (plus the rest of a list) wouldn't work, unless the rest of the list didn't work to begin with.
I've recently become a fan of this thing called Dubstep. And you should too.

Thanks for the quick reply. That was very informative, I might add some warriors later, I just find the models so dull compared to the rest of the range.
Also, don't forget that warriors will greatly benefit from the ghost ark; something the immortals wouldn't have access to. A bunch of gauss immortals and a phaeron can be a very nice core, and with 2-3 supporting squads of warriors and a ghost ark or two, that's a very nice troop base.
The only time I would use Immortals en masse is Night Scythe spam, which I haven't run yet.
Beyond that I use 2 15 man Warrior squads on foot supported by 2 Ghost Arks. But I have been working to add 1-2 full Immortal squads as a alternate core to my usual list.
For the most part though the Warriors are pretty durable save against Railhead submunition rounds, Hellhounds or Heavy Flamers, all of which make them cry.
I find if you foot slog immortals are great, with Ghost arks (either inside or out) warriors are great. I field a combo of both. My warriors tend to hide back and hold rear objectives or sit safe inside a ghost ark. While my immortals have gaze of flame, and a Lord with a scythe and res orb inside which allows them to be a front running squad (even eat a charge) and in many cases DRAW or win combat even if assaulted.

Warriors are way easier to paint D:
Immortals are great and you can do well with out warriors. BUT nothing holds an objective as well as 20 warriors with a ghost arc and rez orb. Like everyone above me I recommend a mix of both.
