Hey, I have a quick question. If you have a unit of wyches joined by a haemonculos and lilith, and the unit has two pain tokens, if the haemonculos leave would that be considered two units left so they could keep both tokens (1 each). Thanks!
Latest Battle: Tau win against DA!
Lelith and the Wyches count as a single unit, and as such are entitled to half of the pain tokens, and the haemonculi gets the other half, the only way you could give 1 token to Lelith and 1 token to the Wyches is by separating Lelith and the Haemonculi from the main unit in the same turn and then rejoin Lelith to the unit in a subsequent turn.
That's my take on the matter at least.
So long as the unit is together, they all share and for each separate unit that breaks off, you'd split them with your preference as to who gets the majority if it's an odd number of units. If 2x IC's and the wyches have 2x pain tokens and they all separate, 2x of those units would have 1 pain token and the other one (your choice) would have none. If only, say, the haemonculis leaves the combined unit, then you split the 2x pain tokens between the 2x units (haemy + wych/IC), so each would retain 1 token. If there were 3x tokens and the same situation happened, you could choose to give the extra token to EITHER the group, or the IC that's leaving the unit.

does it matter when the seperation happens? as in like the hellions hit & run rule...
can't separate during hit and run, you can only separate in moving phase.
note on wyches scenario above, its possible to seperate the heamy and lelith and get the two tokens back to wyches with lelith in same movement phase. all lelith has to do is finish her movement within 2" of wyche squad at end of movement phase, there is nothing to stop her from doing this.
So an easy way around this would be:
wyches move off leaving two IC's, wyches take a token, lelith takes other. both IC's are not within 2" of wyches, therefore left squad and now act as IC's and furfilled requirements of pain token allocation.
Heamy moves to where he's going.
lelith catches up to squad again, is within 2", so rejoins squad. Perfectly legal.
Only down side is you need to be outside the transport, or else it really can't be done, from what i can see.
I fail to see why you would do this, lelith and a wyche squad will generate tokens fairly easily anyway, you already have FNP. Your best letting the heamy deliver that token to another squad. Furious charge seems great but it will only help your squad to get shot as it wins most combats in your turn, Letting your opponent shoot that valuable squad in his turn. Also lelith is a terrible special character, unless you are not playing T4 armies.
If you're always worried about crushing the ants beneath you...you won't be able to walk.
hit and running hellions don't have to worry about splitting up the tokens. Either they hit and run with the baron in the unit already (still one unit) or they can't hit and run if joined by a foot lord (lose the ability if joined by a unit not possessing the same ability).
The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. Bring them understanding of the power of ourselves through our strength and their fear. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all fragments will be smashed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be consumed
