Welcome to Librarium Online!
I usually deck my Archon out with the usual Agoniser, splinter pistol, shadow field, combat drugs, haywire grenades, and various masks. You think it would be a good idea to give him an agoniser, punisher (one single handed and one double), a tormenter helm, and the rest of the items mentioned above. I figure it could be useful for various situations. Think this is too point heavy?
It would work, if you wanted to pay the extra points. Personally, I'd take an agoniser/poisoned blades combo. The Agoniser is all around good at whompin' stuff, and the poisoned blades give him versatility against things like guardsmen and daemons.

WAY too expensive IMO.
Take either a character hunter (ago+sp) OR a troop hunter (punisher+th).
If you have lots of points I would suggest one of each (A troop hunting Dracite and a character hunting Archon or vice versa) also I would never put a retinue with a character hunter.
go with teqadils idea its really good, man I might use that.

Punisher, Helm, AND Agoniser???
You're playing with wildfire there buddy. Too much wasted points.
I'd just go with a P. Blade just in case of Daemons and Avatars.

Give him plasma grenades for 2 points. I know you're thinking that you could always take the 'always go first' cobat drug option. But think about this. The lord is so quick, that in most cases, he only goes last because of enemies hiding in cover. The only time he should ever use always go first is against anomalies like Howling Banshees and Tyranid Bio Acid Spit.
For every extra die you roll for drug options, you up the chances of overdosing and taking a wound or even get killed from it, so then you might decide not to take '+1 attack' because you want to go first and don't want to roll more than two dice, and you definately want 're-roll misses'. I think 2 points is worth not taking a chance at killing off your own guy and keeping your other cool combat drug options.
